Schools Antioch is served by Antioch Community Consolidated School District 34 and Community High School District 117. Local favorites include Antioch Elementary, Hillcrest Elementary, Antioch Upper Grade School, and Antioch Community High School.  

Shopping Antioch's charming downtown is lined with boutique shops, antique stores, coffee spots, and eateries that bring the area a cozy, walkable feel. You'll also find national retailers and everyday essentials along IL-173. For a more extensive shopping experience, the Pleasant Prairie Premium Outlets are less than a 20-minute drive away. Located just across the Wisconsin border, this outlet mall features over 90 stores, including designer and brand-name retailers offering significant discounts. Additionally, Gurnee Mills is just a short drive away, providing even more shopping options.  

Transportation Commuters love Antioch for its convenience. The Antioch Metra Station (North Central Service Line) provides weekday service to Chicago’s Union Station. By car, residents have easy access to Route 173, Route 83, and US-45, with I-94 just 15-20 minutes away.

Village Info Antioch was officially incorporated as a village in 1892, and over the years it has grown steadily while maintaining its small-town roots. As of the most recent census, the population sits at approximately 14,600. Downtown Downtown Antioch is lively, especially in warmer months, with outdoor dining, community festivals, and the local PM&L Theatre. Stroll down Main Street and you’ll find seasonal markets, unique gift shops, and that authentic Midwest friendliness you can’t fake.
