Changing the light fixture globe

Changing the light fixture globe

It looks like a very simple problem. A contractor who was trying to replace a light bulb from this ceiling fan dropped the globe (the half-sphere glass that covers the light) and broke it. Long story short, the contractor didn't replace it, so I had to get a replacement. As you know, there are a lot of different types of light fixtures out there, and that means the gloves have different sizes. I can't just go to a big-box store and buy it, as this particular model requires you to screw in the globe to the main body.

You know where to go if you need gas for your car for example, but where do you go if you need a globe? I had to call multiple companies to finally get to one that sells the globe. I got lucky and was able to purchase the last one for this model.

Once I climbed up on the ladder to reach the light fixture, it took only about 10 seconds to screw in the new globe. But it took weeks to get it fixed.

I just wanted to share some of the things we do as a property manager. I hope you enjoyed reading this blog.
